Ashtanga Yoga Beginners Class 3
This class starts off with the Sun Salutation A & B, and continues on to introduce the main Standing Postures. This is a classic Ashtanga Yoga class.
Sun Salutations A & B are led at regular pace, building on the instruction from Classes 1 & 2. We recommend getting the first two classes if you are new to the Sun Salutations.
The pace has intentionally been slowed down in the Standing Poses to support you in having time to explore each posture with correct alignment.
This class is not the same as the postures in what is known as the ‘Primary Series’ in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga – it is an introduction to some of the postures found in that Series. That said, these set of classes are dynamic and require you to be physically fit. Previous yoga experience is ideal, but not essential.
We recommend that you practise and familiarise yourself with each class as many times as you like, before moving on to the next class. All you need is a clean space and a yoga mat!
This is a beginners level class and is 44 minutes in length.
