My first yoga class was such a buzz and gave me the feeling that yoga was right for me and would give me a strong foundation for whatever I did in the future.
Ashtanga yoga was a natural progression of that first class. The combination of breath and movement to work and cleanse the body and remove the clutter from my mind was definitely what I needed. It also helped me recognise possibilities and opportunities and gave me the confidence to take challenges. I have been privileged to study under the guidance of Sri K Pattabhi Jois and Sharath in Mysore, India. These amazing experience lead me to became a teacher. I thank Pattabhi for passing on his teachings and hope that I have been able to bring new awareness into other peoples lives. The challenge of Ashtanga is to maintain a regular practice. I have seen those who do rewarded.
The wondrous birth of my son, Gabriel, has given me new meanings, the simple things mean so much more. Spending time with my partner, Emma and my son Gabriel, enjoying the moments of new life blossoming is yoga in itself.
