I’ve used Yuki’s Ashtanga class in my morning practice. Yuki has a great, calm, relaxed voice. He reinforces non competitiveness and striving and he really makes you feel okay to practice at your own level even though it’s Ashtanga. I think this class is excellent. Improvements – Can’t think of any!

Yang Yoga with Simon Low

Yang Yoga with Simon Low

Looking for a yoga style that balances both an energetic and a deep restorative practice?
Yin Yoga and Yang Yoga are based on the ancient Chinese principles of Yin (passive & restorative) and Yang (flowing and energetic).

Yang Yoga is a vinyasa – a steady flowing, fluid practice using the rhythm of the breath (similar to Ashtanga and Jivamukti Yoga). Yang is a Qi-Gong influenced practice, incorporating movements which are circular and spiral in nature, with an emphasis on following your body’s natural instinctive movements.

Yang Yoga RoutinesSimon Low, one of the most popular teachers in the UK, uses his calm, deep voice to take you through the active Yang Yoga and meditative Yin Yoga. We recommend that you explore both styles as they are complementary.

Simon Low has designed these programs complete with:

  • 1. A Brief Orientation followed by a Qi-Gong influenced spiral motion or “Spinning” which can be practised at any time of day
  • 2. A Tutorial Instruction Sequence, and
  • 3. Three rounds of the Yang Sequence in full swing.

All you need for any of the practices is a yoga mat, comfortable clothing and bare feet.

For restorative yoga classes – check out Simon’s Yin Yoga classes.
